Member BenefitA dinghy is a great way to enjoy the harbor, ocean and beaches. Cohasset Sailing Club offers affordable slips to safely and conveniently dock your dinghy.A CSC dock slip is a CSC member-only benefit. You must be a member in good standing to renew your rental, to apply for one or to hold a position on the Waiting List.Availability and FeeYou must be a 2023 Dock Space holder to register for a dock space for 2024. If you were not a dock space holder in 2023, you may register for the wait list. If you registered in error and paid for a dock space and harbor fee, your payment will be refunded. Slip availability varies from year to year depending upon renewal trends. On average, there are just a few spaces that become available. The following are required to rent a dock space at the CSC; ALL MUST PAY: Dock Space Fee - $450 and CSC Membership Fee - $400The fees that are due are determined according to your individual circumstance:*For boats with engines/non mooring holders: Harbor Fee** - $108 *Mooring Holder - boat with engine Harbor Fee** - $75 - (hold a mooring in Cohasset Harbor)*Boats with no engine do not pay Harbor or Mooring fee all of which must be paid in full before April 30. *Most dock space holders fall into the $108 Harbor fee category as only a handful of dock space holders also hold a mooring in the Harbor.**As a service to our dock space holding members who have a boat with an engine, CSC collects the $108 or $75 harbor fee at the time of your online registration and issues payment to the Town of Cohasset on your behalf. All boats with an engine must pay this fee.Assignment and Maintenance ProcedureExisting slip holders are able to renew their slips from year to year by registering and paying for membership, dock space and harbor fee by April 30. No late dock space registration/payment will be accepted. The space will be reassigned to the next member listed as #1 on the waiting list.Slip numbers and positions are assigned by the Dock Slip Coordinator. The outside spaces are more user-friendly than are the inner spaces. As a consequence, as outer slips become available, existing slip-holders can be shifted or re-assigned to these more favorable locations.CSC is the sole and final authority in providing a slip, determining space assignments, dock space availability, and by applying or holding a dock space, members agree that all CSC decisions are final. We reserve the right to change the policy at any time and without prior notice.Waiting List ProcedureThere is a members waiting list to be fair to those who continue to support the club year after year and who wish to have a dinghy at the club docks.This publicly posted waiting list of members will be maintained by the club on this website. It establishes a ranking of slip applicants from which available slips are assigned. Those not obtaining a slip at the beginning of the new season will be kept on the waiting list in the current order as long as their memberships are maintained without lapse. You must be a member to hold a spot on the waiting list each year. As dock slips become available the name in the top position on the waiting list will be notified.Dinghy Requirements and RestrictionsMaximum 12` length, 5` 6“ beam. No aluminum. Oversize boats will be removed.Engines must be kept covered if in the upright position. If found upright, the uncovered engine will be put in the down position by club staff .Note to all 2023 dock space holdersYour dock space will be renewed for 2024 only when YOU REGISTER on this website and your membership, dock space and Harbor fees are paid in full by April 30, 2024.Our dock space coordinator will send your slip assignment and sticker via mail.For those interested in a dock space, you must be a registered member and pay the annual membership fee to remain on the wait list.
