Member Benefit
A dinghy slip at the Cohasset Sailing Club is a member-only benefit, with the fees and application process varying by your circumstances
. All members must pay a Dock Space Fee, CSC Membership Fee to rent a dock space. Additional fees, such as a Harbor Fee or a mooring holders fee with a boat engine, may also be required. Payment for all applicable fees is due by April 30.
- Benefit: A dock slip for your dinghy is a member-only benefit offered by the Cohasset Sailing Club.
- Eligibility: You must be a member in good standing to rent a slip, renew a rental, apply for a new one, or join the waiting list.
- 2026 Applications: Current 2025 dock space holders can apply for 2026 spaces. Those who were not 2025 holders must register for the waiting list.

Availability
- Slip availability varies each year, but only a small number of spaces typically become available on average.
Important Notes
- The Harbor Fee is collected by the CSC on behalf of the Town of Cohasset for all boats with an engine.
**As a service to our dock space holding members who have a boat with an engine, CSC collects the $108 or $75 harbor fee at the time of your online registration and issues payment to the Town of Cohasset on your behalf. All boats with an engine must pay this fee.
Assignment and Maintenance Procedure
Slip Renewal
Existing slip holders have the opportunity to renew their slips annually. To do so, members must:
Register and pay for membership, dock space, and the associated harbor fee by April 30.
Important Note: Late registration or payment for dock space will not be accepted. Failure to meet the deadline will result in the space being reassigned to the person listed as #1 on the waiting list.
Slip Assignment and Reassignment
- Slip numbers and positions are determined by the Dock Slip Coordinator.
- Outer spaces are generally more user-friendly than inner spaces.
- As outer slips become available, existing slip holders may be shifted or reassigned to these more favorable locations at the discretion of the Coordinator.
Authority and Policy Acknowledgment
The CSC holds the sole and final authority regarding the provision of slips, space assignments, and determining dock space availability. By applying for or holding a dock space, members agree that all CSC decisions are final.
The Cohasset Sailing Club reserves the right to modify these policies at any time without prior notice
Waiting List Procedure
There is a members waiting list to be fair to those who continue to support the club year after year and who wish to have a dinghy at the club docks.
This publicly posted waiting list of members will be maintained by the club on this website. It establishes a ranking of slip applicants from which available slips are assigned. Those not obtaining a slip at the beginning of the new season will be kept on the waiting list in the current order as long as their memberships are maintained without lapse. You must be a member to hold a spot on the waiting list each year.
As dock slips become available the name in the top position on the waiting list will be notified.
Dinghy Requirements and Restrictions
Maximum 12` length, 5` 6“ beam. No aluminum. Oversize boats will be removed.
Engines must be kept covered if in the upright position. If found upright, the uncovered engine will be put in the down position by club staff.
Note to all dock space holders
Your dock space will be renewed only when YOU REGISTER on this website and your membership, dock space and harbor fees are paid in full by April 30.
Our dock space coordinator will send your slip assignment and sticker via mail.
