2026 Registration Dates
Get ready for another great season on the water! Mark your calendars for the following registration dates:
- General Membership: Opens on January 1, 2026.
- Dock Space & Kayak Berth: Registration for these member benefits opens on January 1, 2026.
- Youth & Adult Sailing Classes: Registration begins on April 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

How to Register for Activities
When you are ready to register for any activity, please ensure you review our How to Register for an Activity guide. We recommend you Create an Account and fill out all your household information, including emergency contacts and medical details. This data helps us better serve you and streamlines future registration forms.
Dock Space Registration
Dinghy Slips: A Member Exclusive Benefit
CSC offers the exclusive convenience of private dock slips for members. A dinghy is the perfect way to explore our beautiful harbor, local beaches, and the open ocean, and our slips provide a safe and convenient place to dock your vessel.
Waitlist Procedure
Due to high demand, this popular amenity has a waitlist. We prioritize active members who demonstrate ongoing support for the club.
Eligibility: The waitlist is open exclusively to current CSC members.
Maintaining Your Spot: To retain your position on the waitlist, your club membership must be maintained annually without lapse.
Assignment Process: When a slip becomes available, we notify the member at the top of the waitlist.
Transparency: A publicly posted waiting list is maintained on our website, establishing a clear ranking for assignment. The date listed reflects the latest update to the list.
Scholarship Information
We offer confidential scholarships for our Youth Program. Please contact us if you need assistance; all requests are handled with discretion.
Military Service Members
Please let us know if you are active or retired as we offer a 10% discount off your regular or senior membership fee.
Free sailing - HELMSMAN TEST
Our fleet of sailboats are available to use during free sail. We require that those who skipper pass a Helmsman Test.
In order to take out a sailboat after lessons one must demonstrate competency. A written test as well as a demonstration of rigging, docking and sailing upwind must be validated at the club by an instructor.
A pfd must be worn at all times. Check in with the instructor on duty who will help set you up as needed.

Host Your Event at Founders' Hall
Looking for the perfect venue for your next gathering? Founders' Hall at CSC offers a unique, picturesque setting.
Available Rental Seasons:
We welcome private events during the beautiful spring and fall seasons:
March, April, May
September, October, November, and December
Unavailable Months:
To allow for essential club maintenance and our busy sailing schedule, the clubhouse is not available for rental during:
January and February
Our active sailing season: June, July and August
Capacity and Event Types
Founders' Hall is an ideal venue for a variety of gatherings, from intimate meetings to larger celebrations:
Seated Events: The hall comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests for a sit-down event.
Standing Receptions: For cocktail-style receptions, we can host up to 75 guests.
Outdoor Access: Weather permitting, your guests are welcome to utilize our deck, which features a deep overhang for comfort.

We’re thrilled you're considering joining our vibrant sailing community! Here are a few essential details to help determine if membership at the Cohasset Sailing Club (CSC) is the perfect fit for your family:
Residency Requirement
Please note that you must be a resident of Cohasset, MA to become a member and participate in our programs.
Youth Sailing Program
With over 60 years of experience, our program provides comprehensive instruction. Children are eligible to begin after completing the 4th grade (rising 5th graders). It is a structured 6-year program covering levels from Sailor to Race Team.
Adult Sailing Program
Our adult programs are open exclusively to Cohasset residents aged 18 and older.
Adult Learn to Sail: An 8-week session with space for 10 registrants, held on four consecutive Saturday mornings and afternoons during the sailing season.
Adult Refresher Course: This new course is being debuted on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings in July.
Waitlist: If registration is full, please add your name to the waitlist option within your account under adult sailing.
Racing and Amenities
Join us on the water for some friendly competition!
- Stanton Series: Parent/child team racing on Sunday afternoons.
- Porter Series: Adult racing on Thursday evenings.
- Kayak Berths: Members can rent dockside kayak berths for easy water access (for a fee).
- Dock Spaces: We offer dock spaces to our members; however, please be aware there is a lengthy waitlist (see link for details).
