Information
Founders' Hall at Cohasset Sailing Club is a beautiful, picturesque, waterfront venue available to rent for smaller events; 42 sitting & 75 standing.
Founders' Hall is not available for rental in the months of January, February, June, July and August.

The proceeds from Founders’ Hall rentals support our sailing program and building maintenance fund. This venture is completely staffed by volunteers who give so much time and effort to support this beloved sailing program open to all Cohasset residents. As such, we offer three pricing levels; Member, Cohasset resident and non-resident pricing.
Tents are not allowed for events.  The adjacent Minot Light replica is not included in the rental of Founders’ Hall.  Questions regarding its’ availability should be directed to Cohasset Town Hall.

Parking is extremely limited and a current Town of Cohasset facilities sticker is required to legally park in the area immediately adjacent to the clubhouse.  A police detail and/or off sight parking may be necessary when concurrent events are scheduled on Government Island.  Since each event is unique, the Event Coordinator will determine how parking will be handled .

Our Event Coordinator manages the schedule and will work with the renter to find approved vendors for their event.  Founders' Hall is not available to rent  in January, February, June, July and August

Fee Schedule
USER FEE, SECURITY DEPOSIT, AND PAYMENT TERMS:

Use of Founders’ Hall for a 4-hour function on a specific date entails a User fee (“User Fee”) in the following amounts:

November, December, March to April 30:
  • Cohasset Sailing Club Member: $300  
  • Cohasset Resident (Non-Member): $800
  • Non-Resident: $1,200
May, September and October:
  • Cohasset Sailing Club Member: $500* 
  • Cohasset Resident (Non-Member): $1200
  • Non-Resident: $1,700
*Members may not assign their membership privileges to a non-member user and/or non-member resident user
